Is your engine a 12 valve or a 24 valve?...Mark

Thanks, I am going to move this to the 12 valve drive train forum. Also, if you fill out your signature it is much easier for the guys to help you. It is on the left side of the user cp, which is on the upper left of the page on the grey bar. Welcome to the forum...Mark

The 2500 and 3500 axles are basically the same. The duallies use a bolt on dually wheel adapter, that will just bolt on to the SRW Dana 60 axles.

The '94-'97 axles are a little different than the '98-'02 axles though, SRW or dually.

If you can't find what you need, I will have axle options here in VT.

Welcome to DTR.

Hello! I am new as well and have virtually the same questions regarding Dana's and duallys. I have a 12 valve 1996 Ram 3500 (dually) that is rear wheel drive only that I want to make 4wd. Or rather 4x6 if being technical.
My metal fab skills are fairly decent so I am up to the task but I want to maintain my truck being a true dually.
Are you saying if I find a Dana 60 from my year range, whether it's dodge or ford, I just need to put my dually knuckles on it and I'm good to go? I seriously can't find any info on how the dually plays into anything and I'm trying hard to learn everything before I buy the wrong axle.
