Trying to set the overhead...Does the timing mark have to be up or do we just watch until the valves are closed...and when they close, gauge them?? If you know how to do this please help i have set them on chevy gas engine before but not diesel.

 

Heard some body say turn engine till the exsaust valve is up and the intake just startes down on over head settings OPPS COULD IT BE EASY ????? GOING TO TRY IT TOMMORO!

NEVER SET THE OVER HEAD ON DIESEL BEFOR CAN YOU HELP PLEASE/1993 DODGE.I HAVE DONE IT ON GAS MOTORS.

 

WERE TO TURN THE MOTOR TO WHEN STTING THEM ?
