@240k lots of leaks....

How many places can these trucks leak......Seems like a different leak every week. 1st it was fuel...Ive replaced alot
Replaced Return Line and horse shoe washers, DV orings,Rubber lines from tank to motor, Replaced Injectors and new copper washers (#4 still leaking), WIF Sensor/oring, Prefilter screen and seal.

All that replaced in last 6months 10k miles thought I had them all fixed but..
Currently the metal line from fuel filter to p-pump is leaking right at the p-pump. Found a 3/8ish size copper washer at friends shop and put in the "check valve???? type part) still 2 larger copper wahers 9/16-5/8" size advance nor auto zone had anything that big gonna try napa. Anybody know what thats called or what size they are????

I got oil leaks everywhere except valve covers.....thought turbo was on way out till I found a oil leak...either at rubber hose connection between turbo oil drain and bung in pan or possibly oil filter seal...at least its not turbo.

Im pretty sure damper seal in timing cover is leaking been 90k since I tabbed the kdp, timing gear cover strong seepage

Oil pan seeps/leaks Majority prob coming from other leaks. Whats the deal with changeing one of those. Ive heard you can change the gasket with the trans out and not loosening motor mounts. Any truth to that???? Im afraid my trans will have to be taken out and looked at but thats another story. If the trans was out I could get the rear main, and oil pan gasket without loosening motor mounts and lifting engine????
If I get all those fixed where else will it leak next??? Not trying to fix it til it breaks but I going to have some extra time the next few months going to try to get this truck in better shape.

Got some cleaning to say the least, what fun what fun. Anybody been though this before, anybody got me beat???

Tappet cover gasket (requires removal of IP), gasket between the gear case and block (requires removal of cam, IP, lift pump, radiator, etc, etc) front crank seal (which requires a new cover gasket too) 3 or 4 times, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets 3 or 4 times, vac pump seal at least 5 times (which requires a new gasket). The only one I haven't replaced is the oil pan gasket and here is how I fixed the leaks it had. I cleaned the engine as well as I could. I then remover two or three pan bolts at a time and cleaned the holes with brake cleaner. A little black RTV on the threads and reinstalled. Do not over tighten. I let the RTV cure overnight. Most of the seepage was gone.

Deleting the heater is easy and described in Joe G's article. If you have a Cummins parts place close by I'd recommend getting a fuel strainer kit. It is only a few dollars and will provide a new gasket.
