I have a 2012 that have been giving the following codes:
P049D P0490 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Ctrl Circ Hi
P2002 Particulate Trap Eff Below Threshold Bank1

The first looks like a D at the end, but I can't find that, I'm assuming its an "O"
It points to the EGR valve, but does that mean a sensor is bad or the whole valve? We have infants and need the remote start back for winter. I'm also assuming the second code is a result of the first.

I looked into the 'deletes' and maybe later down the road. I'd like to just get the new EGR valve, but I'm not %100 sure that will fix it.

What exactly does that code indicate is wrong?

EGR needs to be cleaned. Excessive soot can cause EGR to stick open and not close. Remove EGR and clean it use MOPAR EGR cleaner or buy Genos EGR cleaner kit. Required maintenance at 67,500 miles
