Code help...grid heater delete

I've had my grid heater delete installed for a few weeks now and the code decided to pop up today... I assumed that disconnecting the relay from the battery was all that was necessary but apparently not?? Anyone know what I need to do?? Help would be appreciated

if you left the two small wires on the relay and just took the large wires off it will not set the code off , if you want to remove the relay you need to place a 14 to 20 ohm 10 watt resistor across the two small controll wires so that the ecm thinks the relay is working
