That is correct Busboy . The one post hot , other post not was checked with fuse out but # 30 slot was with fuse in .
Everything points to the fuse , so I will check ohms tomorrow and not just look at fuse . Thanks for the replies .

Sounds like your tracking it down.. I have had a few fuses look good, but wouldn't carry the voltage .

Boy , I never would have thought it but you are exactly right lovinCTD59 . Found one fuse that failed the ohms test . Got new one and everything works . Spent a week on this over a $5 fuse .Thanks everyone for their suggestions . Wow , what a lesson !

I usually check fuses with a test light just by touching the tab on top of the fuse either side this saves having to remove them, in fact I just bought a couple of new ones that beep as well as light up, $6 each.
