How much play in turbo shaft is normal.
I changed my oil today and air filter, and was just checking turbo to make sure everything was okay. I never had noticed it before but it seems like there's a small amount of play in the turbo shaft. I was just wondering how much or if any play is normal in the turbo shaft. Last time I checked it I don't remember any at all. This truck only has 51,000 on it so I was just curious if it's normal.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

A little play is normal. As long as the compressor wheel is not hitting the housing you should be ok.. Once the oil system is under pressure, the oil itself will take the play out of the shaft.
