Decided to make my own delivery valve holders today. Made these from full threaded 14mm x 1.5 12.9 bolts.

what's the purpose of the new holders? Aside from looking really shiny (and quite cool), they are quite long. I'm guessing there's a purpose for it.

Also, I like the look of a bare IP. It's a nice look imo

The valve holders are longer do to the fact that the 24 valve injection lines are shorter. Make sense, the vp44 is a little longer therefore the lines were made to fit the vp44. But yes also the vp44 injection line fittings are 2mm larger than the first gen. I like the look of the injection pump as well. Its all aluminum with the exception of the rotor head and any screws, im still deciding whether or not to paint it (I dont want screws rusting in the future).

When you're that far over my head, there is nothing that I can add that wouldn't sound retarded.

When I was in machine work. We used to clear coat the screws with clear lacquer to keep them from rusting. Sounds sort of hack, but it worked pretty good.

There are always a lot of people watching your build that never say anything.
I for one, Have been watching.

I have been watching with avid interest, fascination and sheer awe! This is so far over my head and wrenching abilities that it leaves me running to other links and pages just to understand what's going on. I drool over your equipment and tools as well. Your work is fantastic and I will stick to this thread until you wake the beast up!

Cheers,

Mike

I've chimed in over on Comp D a few times. It's mostly admiration from me. Nice work thus far! Here's one for this thread...

Just trying to save up a little more money, at this point i have everything ready to go in the truck. Im saving for an exhaust manifold, clutch, standalone he351ve controller, and a rocker arm (i lost the little socket that contacts the valve bridge). Does anybody know if the Spec 13" clutch will fit the first gen flywheel? They sell it separately.

What are your plans for the standalone he351ve controller? I would recommend the "lilblackbox" arduino shield that controls the turbo with turbo shaft speed.

It's supposed to be a much better way of controlling the turbo compared to using boost / drive pressure. I will be getting mine soon and I can tell you how it compares to running it with a boost sensor and a controller if you're interested at all.
