2nd gen seat belts
I know a lot of you have swapped 2nd gen seats into your trucks but I was wondering if you swapped the seat belts to? Friend of mine has a collection of second gens and I need seat belts for mine. Will they fit? 2 over the shoulder 1 lap belt and bench seat

Anything fits with some fabrication some 2nd gens are in the seat backs though so you would really want your seats bolted down well.
I have 2006 ford belts in mine

I put 2nd gen belts in my crew cab. The only issue I have is with length. The spool end of the shoulder strap belts is mounted higher up on the wall on 2nd gens. By the time I get the belt around my ample belly, there is little extra belt. The only issue I have had is that I can't reach the kick panel vent with the belt on.
Another issue might be that the 2nd gen belts attach to the wall rather than the floor as they do in the 1st gen trucks. You might have to swap the driver and passenger belts to mount them. I did not have this issue in my crew because the front seat belts mount to the B pillar.

So,
I had these guys make me new belts.
I used a dodge Dakota receiver as its a better design, not prone to failing.
I sent them my belt assembly intact, along with the dodge Dakota male end that was on the Dakota belt so that the Dakota receiver would work with my new belt.
Fantastic job Very happy
