I watched it sat. Looks simple I just wonder how much that set up is or if if you could make one?

 

Yes! I am watching it as we speak! I wonder what his brewing system costs? I'd love to experiment with the stuff. .70 cents vs. $2.54 a gallon. I'll take it!

 

That show was on a month or so ago.
Neat set-up, but the system he's using is ~$3,000.
Somehow, don't think that's factored into his 72 cents cost per gallon figure.

From what I have seen a cheap set up from Freedom would be about $3K.....that kinda needs to be factored into the cost/gallon.

I like the idea but it would not help me. I do not drive much during the week but only when I go racing. Making fuel at home will not help me when I need to fill up 700 miles from the house.

Plus driving around smelling like a french fry fryer would make me incredibly hungry.

 

Im thinking a couple drums, a vane pump, 1/2 Hp motor, plastic tubing, and a handful of ball valve, tee's and fittings you can have your own. Granted, the titration kit would be a bit pricy, along with the calibration charts, but a high school chemistry book will help you out with that...

 

You'd only need to make 1600 gallons of that stuff to pay for that contraption. Considering the current price of fuel in my area: 2.55US

 

Would the results be any different if biodiesel was burned in a big rig?

 

Is bio-diesel compatible with our fuel system as far as not eating away at fuel lines, o-rings and other rubber parts?

 

... home-made biodiesel plant might bring the boys ATF boys around looking for your moonshine still .

Sure would be nice to defray some costs.

just my .02 from reading, i'm not an expert, but:

it's an AMWAY scheme where you buy one, and sell another to someone. and so on.

those rigs are 1800 to 3000 if you GOOGLE, the scheme is why the price varies.

and those rigs are horrible. You have to GOOGLE it, but there's huge strings about unsafe, unusable, and just plain bad the system he's using is.

most folks had not made one good batch with that unit.

I heard someplace maybe last Sunday's Newspaper that some or maybe all the Love's Truck stops were going to start selling Bio Diesel. anyone else heard this? and do they have it at yours? Here in Texas Willie Nelson has started a Bio diesel truck stop near Hillsboro on Interstate 35 that's about half way between Dallas and Waco. little good it does me thou I would use it up before I could save $$
