Charge circut for 5th wheel
Having problems folloing the wire for a 12 volt charge circut to charge the trailer battery. I can not figure where the 12 volt comes from and where the fuse is on the charge circut. My 98 Dodge has the towing package, does it come pre wired from dodge or was it added when the hitch ws installed? I do not think it has any thing to do with the brake controller. Can anyone help me with the circut? Thnks for your reply.

it should of been wired from the factory and the fuse is in the fuse box under the hood the lid on the fuse box will say what fuse is for the trailer power feed .if you open the plug on the hitch the upper right spade is power if no power there check wires going in or blow fuse
if there is a plug in the bed it was installed after the fact most hitch installers splice in to power under the bed near the bumper

Thanks for your reply. I have been working with a schematic from a 01 and think it should be the same but it leaves some questions. Because of not showing the end plug where the trailer plugs into, I am not sure of reading the schematic correct. A couple of questions. Should there be 12 volts at all time for the charge circut? Is there a hidden fuse in the wiring harness? I think is is coming through a 40 amp fuse on the frunt right fender, is this correct? If any one has a correct wiring schematic it would be helpful. Fax 850-969-0470. Thanks for your help.
