Does anyone make a remote start for a manual tranny? I have a 03 ctd been wanting to put a remote start on it.

 

Remote start on manual transmission vehicles is illegal in most states. It can be done but the neutral safety switch needs to be bypassed. You may be hard pressed to find an installer due to liability issues.

 

Instead of remote start, how about a diesel heater such as these Espar heaters - http://www.espar.com/. Better on fuel economy as well.

 

Espar $1200-1400. over the counter. Good product. CompuStar and Astrostart make a good one way and two way auto start for our trucks. From what I have found, an reputable auto start in a manual transmission is not illegal. You just need the interface and the manual transmission module that comes with the unit. In my neck of the woods, $850 get an auto start installed for diesel truck with a manual transmission. You don't have to bypass the neutral safety switch to have a legal system.

 

Pretty sure Valet has one that will work safely. Check for a dealer near you.
