fuel milage question

I have read in a few other threads and they say that when i check my fuel milage i need to adjust for the bigger tires. Well i have 37's and when i hand calculate it says i get about 14mpg on the highway is that right or does it matter that i have bigger tires. what is on my sig is what i have on it. plus a boost fooler that i have not put on my sig yet.

When you hand calc you have to correct for the larger tires.

Is your speedo or odometer corrected for the larger tires? If not, then here's how to calculate:

(OEM tires revs per mile/37s revs per mile) times odometer mileage.

For example, your OEM tires might be 655 revs per mile. The 37s are probably around 560 revs per mile. So you take 655/560 and get 1.17.

So take your tripmeter reading at fillup, and add 17% (multiply by 1.17). If your tripmeter shows you got 350 miles on that tank, you actually had 410 miles.

In the above situation, if you calculated 14mpg, you're really getting 17% more, or 16.38mpg!

Nice change, eh?

i would be happy with even 14 mpg's with 37s that pretty good still anything with a gas motor and those tires would be pulling 7mpg's or less probably.
