According to here:

http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/dsl/Facts/01ISBspecs.html

Looks like 20.8 psi for a non HO and 26 psi for an HO engine.

Max should be around 20-21 lbs.

BHAF adds some - 4 inch straight exhaust adds some - Edge EZ adds some (thats the chip I have) I have about 27 psi at WOT under load.

I read somewhere you gain about 1 lb boost per 10 HP added. With the Edge there is a mod to the little elbow on the turbo to keep from setting off a code and fuel cutback for overboost.

That's not quite right. The "Boost Elbow" is what controls the wastegate allowing the turbo to produce more boost. But the ECM will detect, via the MAP sensor, a higher amount of boost and it will set a code for "Over Boost Condition - Out of Range" (or something to that effect) and cause a "de-fueling situation. To combat this condition, the Edge, or Quadzilla, or Banks and etc. has a "Boost Fooler" that plugs in between the MAP sensor and the ECM. The purpose is to change the MAP signal to read within factory parameters before it gets to the ECM. So if the "Boost Elbow" is adjusted to allow 35 lbs of boost, and if the motor is making it, the MAP sensor will read 35 lbs of boost and send that signal to the Edge (or equivilant) which will send a lessor amount (maybe only 20 lbs) to the ECM.

Will a boost fooler with no chip of any kind allow you to boost past the factory setting of 20-21 without throwing codes? My truck is capable of 30+ but I no longer have the juice with attitude.

Yes. You will need some way to adjust the wastegate and there are several companies that make a stand alone boost fooler. Quadzilla, BD Diesel, to name a few. Though, you may not see boost levelas as high as you did with the Juice, because you're not flowing as much fuel.

I don't have gauges yet, but when it's building boost it kinda hits a wall and you can feel it defuel. I'm hoping a boost fooler will get rid of that. I have a hybrid 60/14 rv275 and 4" exhaust so it should build some decent boost. Thanks.
