I replace the cracked 53 in my 01 with a new used engine my 53 never lope and neither did the new motor in the truck it came out of when i swapped the engine i took my 75 hp injectors and hotrod pump of the 53 block and put them on the new engine replacing the injector seals but not the crossover seal as i got the wrong ones in the kit anyhow now the truck has a lope to it anyone have any ideas why?

 

Mine did the lope when one of my injector tubes was not fully seated in the injector. Apparently I had a partially dead cylinder and could not tell. I finally found it after a few years of looking for a fuel leak I thought I had due to the ocassional fuel smell. One of the injector nuts was dusty from the slightest fuel leak that was never wet. Once I re-torqued it the tube popped in and lope is gone.

Make sure all the inj lines are good and tight...a loose line could cause this. Had the same issue when replacing inj.

 

Alright i will retorque all the injector lines and see what happens

 

what had been causing my lope was I didn't have my second battery in and had went to copper lug style terminals so my pcm was not grounded properly
