I'm in the process of building mine...
I had a piece of 1/4" plate 7' wide bent so it has a 6" top leg, its 10" tall, and a 2" bottom leg, then I V-cut it and bent the sides with a cumalong and welded them and I did the same with the bottom so it added more shape to it. I'm gonna put some clevis loops on it and probably cut holes for fog lights, I've also thought of making a grille guard that will slide in or bolt in and out so i can put it in through deer infested country or take it off for looks. I hope to be into it under $200 including materials when I'm all done.

92, I'm first in line when you start taking orders for those.
Seriously, though, great looking so far.
I'll post up a pic of my front bumper when I get back from Ft. Benning this weekend. I'm gunning for the top spot in the ugliest/toughest division. It's a 6" piece of schedule 80 fire pipe with a brushguard from a '84 Chevy K20 welded on...all coated with Line-X

Rick, do you happen to have dimesnsions or drawings for the bumpers in pic 37 and 104 in your photo album? I saw some technical drawings, but not sure they match up.

I got the bumper off of a older dodge truck. There were parts missing off the bumper for mounting a winch so I had to do some modifacation to the mount. I install a 10k smittybuilt winch in the opening.
