First I got 80 gal. Tank off 2007 ford 750 with gauge I paid 90 $, next step is to get filter, pump and some hose.
I will use regular car pump
this is for start,so far 90 $ invested

I did some what the same thing but I used a tank out of a 4500 cummins tow truck and it fit under my bed cover and I used a diesel fuel pump from pep boys and 1/4 in hose and brass fittings. I then went to the hardware store and got a male to male hose adapter and had a buddy of mine drill two holes in it and weld a couple nuts over the holes for some screw in brass hose fittings and placed it in the filler neck. Wired the switch in the cab and works grate. I was able to drive from Pensacola Fl to Las Cruces NM before fill up. I mounted mine so I can remove it in about 3 min if I need the bed for hauling anything.

Smart Idea. I made an alum one that fits under my toolbox with an RDS gravity flow kit into my fuel filler hose. Mine is mounted on a small foam pad under toolbox but only holds about 34 gallons. I would think you should be OK if you use a vented cap that shuts off when tipped over. RDS kit fits easily into fuel fill hose and has roll over/overfill protection. Tank was bolted down and squeezed between tool box and floor.

Sounds like a good Idea I have the hoses set up to where if the pump is left on it just recirculates the diesel back to the AUX tank. But a good thing to remember is not to let your wife go out and start the truck while cold and check the fill level. My wife while we where in AR for X-Mas went out to start the truck and check the diesel level and left the AUX pump on and put about 10 gal of diesel in the yard... not a diesel girl. ha ha

That looks at lot better than the hillbilly aux tank setup I saw at the fuel pump last year.
The guy had three 50 gallon hot water heaters in his bed with bricks to keep them from rolling around.
It looked like he used garden hose to plumb them together and to the the engine.

I used an external fuel pump and mounted it to the side of the tank mount. I used quick disconects for the wireing at the front of the bed so when I slide the tank out I have no wires in the way. You may have to get a check valve for the gravity flow kit.

It is in the bead and secures I reused old straps welded some angel pieces an bolt on other side, made pickup tube, now I m looking for good fuel pump.

I don’t like gravity feed idea , I will go with external pump I need something good best one I found for now is 40 GPH is there any better one

Considering the tank was from a vehicle, there should be no question and long as it is securely fastened to the vehicle as goran Volvo did.

MY point is make sure your setup is dot approved or you'll be on the side of the road with a heavy fine, also they have limits as to how much you can transport, you will need a cdl with hazmat and fuel carrier permit if you exceed that limit. there is also a proper way of tieing that tank into your system to meet dot specs.
