Fuel Prices Dropping?

Fuel came down in price 0.10 this morn. @ my local station. I also heard something on the radio this morn stating that prices should be down to pre Katrina prices within a month I guess we'll see

Wonder if in 08' the prices will be back to "normal" DoooH!

'Bout the time the diesel fuel is ready to drop off to pre-storm levels,.....it'll be home heating oil season again.

Yep. Saw a $0.12 drop in unleaded and $0.05 drop in diesel in the last 24 hours.

Keep dropping them boys, I'm still not thrilled with the current (lower) prices.

I've been pulling the prices off the fax at work this week, the boss was out of town & left me to keep track. They have been dropping .08 cents on gas & .16 cents on diesel so those prices should be trickeling down at the pumps if they don't turn around & go the other way if somebody sneezes.

Way to think positive. You say that everytime we start to feel better about diesel prices!!

Maybe more people will stoke up the wood stoves this year? I heard that Propane is going to be at record highs this season too. We pay a level plan at $115 a month all year, not too bad I guess. (water& heat only)

We are at $3.05-3.19 for Gas, $2.79 to 2.99 for #2

And so far in continuing to fall (fingers crossed) Saw 87 down below $3.00 today, what a bargain!
I gotta believe that paying a penny more for diesel than gas is just getting ripped off. I know it's what locomotives and big rigs run on, but look at the shear number of gasser car and trucks on the interstate (=higher demand?). Heating fuel out of the equation, we SHOULD be paying 15% less for our fuel.

Diesel is selling for 2.55 a gallon in Ozark MO at the Bullseye station, 87 has dropped to 1.86-1.89. 91 is still over 3.00. Some of the other stations are keeping their diesel at 2.69 but 2 or 3 are going with 2.55. I'm planning on burning as much wood as possible this winter. Might even have to start cooking with the stuff if propane keeps going higher.

That's good to know. Maybe I can squeeze another week out of my pre-Katrina tankfull by commuting mostly on the bike.

Though I never thought I'd be glad to see it at ~$2.50 per gallon.

See, it's working! We will all be relieved to "only" have to pay $2.50 a gallon. And you guys say none of this is a conspiracy?

Can we EVER expect to see the "pre", pre-katrina prices, or is that just a pipe dream?
I liked the $1.50 +/- a gallon I was paying two years ago this October when I bought my truck!!
