For potential Quad Commander guys who don't want to wire tap:
Check out this website! They can build you the harnesses you need!
http://www.bmotorsports.com
Coolant temp plugs:
http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/adv...p?keywords=clt
And a link to the harness itself:
http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/pro...roducts_id/576
Available in different lengths, but you must specify to not include the spiral wrap so the wire is easier to tap...
I got hooked up with a jumper for the MAP and rail sensor from Quad, but the coolant temp sensor was harder to locate. I spent some time searching and finally found Ballenger Motorsports. James Ballenger seems like a cool cat who will get you what you need.
I'm ordering a jumper for this plug:
That is similar to these that I already scored:
Now I can run a Commander with all the features without tapping into any of the factory wire harness! It would be nice if Quad offered this with the Commander, but I'm sure it was not part of the plan as it would be rather costly to include this with the unit. I'm sure it would be at a higher price-point.
None the less, I would like to see the option offered...

I believe Ballenger Motorsports will make them for you no problem. He just needs to get more detailed pictures of the plugs (which I can provide to him)They'll probably cost less than what I paid as well.

You can also just use the new X2 harness from Quad. I'm pretty sure he'll sell those separately, but I'm not sure what he'll charge. I got mine for $25 or $30 (can't remember now) but I was a Beta tester. It's probably double that, but still not bad.

yeah it's hard to convince the dealer you don't have a module on your truck when every thing but the module it's self is still there..it would be cool if a guy could just buy the jumper pigtails.....I think it would be a great selling point to the commander by it's self....I just hate those wire taps that are used if you run the commander alone..they really hard on the oem harness.

So I am a little confused because it has been a while since I took the commander off the truck. I get a jumper for the ect I can hook up the commander to monitor the engine coolant temp if i wanted to but probably not because I have a factory gauge for that. Does the other jumper go between the map sensor and the fuel rail sensor or what? Where would I plug the jumper in if I wanted to monitor factory fuel rail pressure just for ***** and grins. Shed some light for me guys.
