i'm going to look at a '97 3500 flat bed tomorrow. It's an auto with about 230,000 miles. We will be using it as a farm truck.....something to replace the old chevy ton truck.....just wondering what are some things i should look for? My granddad has seen it and says its pretty nice. he's asking around 4000 for it...4500 i think?.....I'm j/w ya'lls opinion as i haven't shopped a 2nd gen 12 valve before.....thanks for the help!

check wiring to bed, mine has been nightmare, some yoyo cut all the factory wires under the front fender and at the hitch. They also only had 4 bolts holding the bed on.
