XZT+ Install help
Hey Guys,
Just got my XZT+ yesterday and was looking my truck over last night. With the plug that goes into the box being 11/16" across, how did you get it through the firewall? I looked for a bit last night and couldn't see anything that jumped out at me. Really didn't want to drill that big of a hole in the firewall. What have you guys done? Thanks!!

Sorry for being ignorant, but could you give me a reference as to wear exactly to look? Is it to the left of the pedals near the E-brake? Thanks

if you are viewing your dr side firewall from the floor mat, it is left and up from the pedals. there may or may not be existing wires running thru it. if you look from under hood it is right and just up of where the steering column comes thru.
no need to pop it out (it is help in with 2 large plastic push tabs/screws). just make a slice with an exacto knife and slide it thru. i broke the retaining tabs on mine while doing this, but it still works just fine and stays securely plugged. i would recommend a quick spray of lube on the grommet to ease in pushing it thru. or, put a dab of electrical grease on the plug and push thru, then wipe off the excess on the other side.

It is kinda hard to see in this picture, but it's the closest I have. Up near the right corner of the firewall there is a large rubber grommet. If you follow the yellow wire in my picture, it goes through the firewall to the left of the big line of loom. You can also see the big black line for the XZT+, gauge lines, etc.
