XM radio install

Today, I purchased and had installed the Delphi XM satelite radio head. I was very pleased with the install until they drove my truck out of the bay. The young technician was watching the mirrors when he was backing out, except he forgot to check the driver side mirror. He drove the mirror into the side of the garage door. To make a long story short, the mirror did not "break away," it shattered the mirror and plastic housing. :'( The manager called the local dealer to see if they had a new mirror. Luckily they did with the heating element as what was on it. They put the new mirror on and had told me he had no idea the price on the mirror was so expensive. I did not ask, becasue I was still mad that I had to sit there and wait longer then I had planned. Just thought I would share that little experience, I thought I was going to have to drive around town with a broken mirror. How bad would that of looked, thank goodness the dealership had a spare.

Re:XM radio install

I bought the aftermarket, Delphi sat radio. I thought about possibly getting the Dodge one, but with this one, I can take it in the house and hook it up to my home system. Plus it has a remote control for the system. I am very pleased with the insatll, they did not have to sut up my dash at all, they used an existing hole under the hanger for bags, on the passenger side.
