What's the deal?

I was wondering how many cowl hoods are on 3500 4x4's. Everbody seems to think it was added to the truck at a later date. This truck had the bumbers painted same color and the grill. I was just wondering if it is a special order.

No way of posting pic. I'm talking about the cowl hood on my dodge truck. It looks like a backwards hood scoop.

If it's aftermarket how come i have seen other dodges with the same hood? it has not been cut or welded anywhere. there is no bondo anywhere either. all the support brackets are still there and you can see threw the screen on the back of it. Has any one seen a cowl induction hood on a dodge. I see them in the sig's.

Dodge has never produced a second gen one ton with a cowl induction hood from the factory.

Do they serve any purpose besides looks? It just doesn't look like there is any evidence of being changed all the paint is exactly the same.
Seems awful silly to add this hood if it serves no other purpose. just wondered
why have the bumbers and grill painted same color as the rest of the truck also ?

I wasn't sure if they made a sport 1 ton. I knew all the sport models i had seen didn't have any chrome.
