How much does a getrag with no bell housing weigh?

 

Around 350 lbs is my guess.

 

not too much carying it into your second floor apartment in several pieces......

but it is real heavy coming back out after the reuild.

 

Ah c'mon Dave, no way. I would guess about 180, no more than 200. 350 is getting up in the nv5600 range iirc. It can be 'somewhat' easily moved about, but much easier on the back with a helper.

 

HEAVY!!!!!! its a 2 person job moving it. Or atleast that would make it far less painful. I had to scoot it across the yard about 30 feet by myself. my guess is about the 150-180 mark. I had to lift it back on the trans jack once it was under the truck. Rough!

 

Not really sure on the weight but I put mine in buy myself 3 times I used a trans jack and a cherry picker to get it off the truck.

 

I weighted a 5600 and it was 350#.

 

I only weigh 140, and I made it down the stairs with it, so that is probably about right.

 

if you took it in the apartment to rebuild it where did you wash the parts?

 

I had it apart and cleaned already at home in the garage, then reassembled it on the coffee table at my apartment when the shim kit finally arrived..... finding the shim kit was the hardest part of the rebuild.

 

what kind of coffee table was that?

 

yeah for some reason the legs all loose now.

But it worked good and it was easy to find then little ***** and springs on the clean floor.

 

I'd say it weighs about 150 lbs, its purty easy to move with 2 peeps.

 

Must be a single guy.

 

Believe it or not no. but when she moved in I got rid of the tire stacks for end tables and foot rests

Most days she likes the truck almost as much as I do, and thank God for that.
