Valve Body and TC
My tranny has been shifting into overdrive really late lately and tc not staying locked up. It is a remanufactured tranny with about 70,000 miles on it and the truck has 341,000 miles on it. The dealer said the tps was good and everything was fine that he tested but wondered if valve body was bad-either bad seal or something- does that sound right? Didnt want to spend the $ to check it right now. Also how much is a stock valve body plus installation?

Seems it would be in the TPS to me, but i dont know. My guess is that unless you find a used VB, a new one from the dealer will be more than a good aftermarket one($450). Have you cleaned your TPS?

i sprayed some cleaner on the tps but i didn't drill a hole in it and spray in there. The dealer said the voltage was reading fine on the tps however.
