Look in the 2003 Ram Warranty Information Booklet. The turbocharger housing and internal parts are covered under the Basic Limited Warranty, the Powertrain Limited Warranty, and the Cummins Diesel Engine Limited Warranty.

Shooting sparks out the pipe could be a plethora of things. Not just the turbo. Since you have an 03 you're truck won't regen (particulate trap) like the 07 and newer trucks. Could be soot particles getting burned off, excess fuel going down the pipe. If the turbo (the exhaust turbine in this case) were hitting the housing you would know it. That would make a loud screech like noise everytime it hit. Since you said the shaft doesn't have much play (normal) I don't suspect that at all.

I see in your sig that you have performance mods. Do you have guages as well?

Yes i have guages and i do watch the turbo i only have it go past 1500 3 times each time that was long time ago

is there any thing else to look for

i have no muffler or cat on the truck so i didnt think it could build up any thing

so maybe its not hurt
