TST reads 40 PSI, Phantom reads 55....

Since I put my Silver Bullet in I have really only been looking at the TST remote to see what my numbers were since they seem to be easier to read at a quick glance. I finally took some time today on the highway to get a better, longer look at my mechanical guage on the a-piller and it read 55 PSI vs the TST reading of 40. The fitting for my boost guage is located on the backside of my intake elbow. I'm assuming the TST is not reading correctly. Under normal conditions accelerating they are on par. Any ideas?

You are correct. The TST uses the stock boost sensor, which is totally saturated at ~ 40 psi +/-. Rely on your mechanical gauge. All is good.

cb610 is correct, if you read the notes in the TST documentation it does state the max accurate boost psi is in the 40psi range.

Interesting...so I guess my TST remote is pretty much no use to me other than turning the power up and down. Good thing I bought it used I guess.

Well with the pyro sensor installed it will monitor and defuel on EGTs correctly. Just have to set the boost defueling at 39psi no matter what you can really hit. I have analog boost gauge so does not matter to me. It should work fine for a stock turbo.

Well I don't have a stock charger, it's a Silver Bullet.

I hope you are studded as 55psi won't last long if the EGT's and timing are high. ks

Studs coming soon, going to keep it under control until then. EGT's don't get much past 1200.
