Transmission, Ahhh!
My tranny will not shift out of 1st. I have an Auto. I still have reverse, but it will not come out of first. I tried manually shifting it and that dont work either. I have now idea how it happened. It did fine all morning, I came home to get ready for work, backed out of the driveway, put it in drive and that was it, never came out of first. Can anyone help?

Sounds like the transducer and gov press. solenoid. Should set you back @ $200 and you can do it yourself. Have any codes? Mine had the same symtoms and this fixed it.

No, there were no codes. I was wondering if it would be better to go ahead and get a stronger, newer one now or fix it and wait till it goes out completely? It has been slipping, and shuttering. I took my superchips off the other day to see how it would do without the power, it did pretty good , still shutters a little when it goes into overdrive sometimes.

I guess it just depends on if you have the money to go ahead and drop some major $$$ right now. I'm in the same boat cause mine has 155,000 on it but so far it holds the power fine as long as I'm not trying to tow with the SC. I just repaired mine since the wife would castrate me if I spent that kind of money right now. Hopefully it'll go out when she's with me so I won't have to beg and plead to get Dave to send me one.
