I've got a leak at the fitting where the trans line goes to the cooler on the side of the block, under the turbo.
It is the front fitting on the cooler. What kind of fitting is this? I was going to take it off, but didn't want to until I had the right parts to fix it. It seems sort of loose, I can push up and down on the line and it moves quite a bit. It seemed to me there was a discussion on this but I could not find anything in searching.
What is the best way to fix it?

Those are probably the quick connect fittings. The originals are junk.
Just a few days after buying my truck, one of these fittings broke blowing trans fluid all over the road.
Dodge no longer even has replacement fittings. If I recall correctly, the original fittings were breaking and some would allow trans fluid to get on the hot exhaust and creatd an oil fire. (read that a long time ago).
If you take it to Dodge, they will replace the entire transmission lines with ones that have a different connection on each end.

What if I don't want to take it to Dodge.?...
Is there any way to replace them with something else? Maybe some type of compression fitting?

You might want to call a local trans shop that you trust.
They may be able to do something for you.
Or, you could call some place like DTT or ATS and ask those guys what to do.

I was able to salvage the broken clip and reuse it. However, I did have to oval the fitting to make this work.
This is not the best way to go and I do plan to have it fixed right.

The recall for potential fire from the hot exhaust only applied to gassers.
You used to be able to get replacement improved couplers of a different style from the dealer, not sure any more. Replacement is outlined here-

Those crappy quick disconnects cost me a tranny....mine failed on a highway pulling a 44ft trailer dumped all my fluid out on the road

So I did ended up upgrading my tranny and putting on the new style tranny cooler lines.....these lines can and do fail so don't be cheap about fixin them....unless you want to buy a new tranny too

I spent the money and replaced the first 4" of every end with Aeroquip hose and fittings.Nearly wore out my flaring kit, but it's worth it, not to have leaks or the chance of loosing the trans. It also allow me the extra temp port for my guage.

Had one blow out on me as I was coming back from the first test run of the new trans. Half a block away I started dropping trans fluid 1/2 a block away, all the way up my driveway. By the time I got to the top of my driveway, no more go. Got out and saw the mess under the truck.

I jury rigged the old fitting by wedging some wood behind the "ears" and securing in with a small hose clamp. Dave Goerend is sending me the updated lines.......

Those upgraded replacement trans lines are expensive. You could call Trevor's Transmission in Saskatoon and see what he recommends. Been going there for years. Great guy to deal with.
