Comming home tonight the truck shutoff on me n had codes p1691,p1690,p0370 and p1693. I think the vp has done me in. Im only at 110805 miles. I get it home buy the grace of god . I started it this morning an it would run an start to shut on an off like it was sucking air then shut off. SO if it is bad what injection pump do you think i should get?Also are these the codes make the vp dead?

 

This is what I found.....might want to double check!!
0370- Timing reference high resolution signal A malfunction
1690- Wastegate solenoid circuit malfunction
1691- Turbo pressure control solenoid circuit malfunction
1693- Turbo charge control circuit malfunction

0370 is ijection pump speed signal lost----------replace the injection pump.
1691 is inj pump calibration error---------------replace the inj pump
1690 inj pump speed does not match ecm speed replace inj pump
1693 companion code---------look in pcm for other codes

Be very careful there are many code definitions out there that are incorrect.

Good talking to you yesterday,too bad about the reason.Sorry,but if you own a vp 44 you will be replacing one,it is just a matter of time.

gOOD TALKIN TO YOU TOO BOB. I PUT THE BYPASS HARNESS ON IT JUST GET THE COMPUTER OUT OF THE EQUATION. AN YEP ITS THE VP-44. SOMETIME I HATE WHEN IM RIGHT
