Synthetic Oil

Haven't been here in a while, but thought I should ask the experts. A friend of mine is a dealer for Amsoil. He can get me great prices on the following synthetic oils, but I am not sure which one to use.

ACD SAE 30 Sythetic Diesel Oil
AME SAE 15w40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Oil
DEO Synthetic 5w40 Premium Synthetic Diesel Oil
HDD Series 3000 SAE 5w30 Heavy Duty Diesel Oil

Can you guys tell me which one would be best for my 04 HD Dually?

Thanks

If it was me, I would use either the 5w40 or 15w40.

The Acd Is Mostley Used It Heavy Equipment Or Machinery. Ame Is What 90%of The People That Use Amsoil Use In There Trucks.deo Is Amsoils (cj)oil For The The 07 And Later Diesels With Particulate Filters It Can Be Used In Any Diesel But On Paper It Is Not As Good As The Ame & Hdd. Hdd Is Amsoils Premier Diesel Oil And There Best It Seems Most People Dont Use It Because Of The Lighter Weight, amsoil Says It Holds Up Just As Good If Not Better Than There Heaiver Weight Oil. The Other Reason Is It Cost About 2.50 A Quart More Than The Ame.i Use The Ame But Would Really!!! Like To Use The Hdd I Just Cant Make Myself Do It .i Tow And Am Afraid Of The Lighter Weight Even Though I Know Its Old School.hope This Helps.

Not really. I can get the AME for $19.80 a gallon or $4.95 a quart. Does that price sound reasonable?

i buy my amsoil 15-40 in 2.5 gallon containers, plus quarts. so, your 4.50 a quart price is a good price, because when i break down my price, it works out to 4.95 a quart -including my shipping costs!

I DONT THINK SO 19.80 is commercial dealer cost per gallon no freight. 4.95per quart if you by it in quart bottles is below dealer cost with no freight i dont no how you can by quarts for below cost.the cheapest way to by it other than 30 or 55 drums is to get two-two and a half gallon jugs this gives you 20 quarts.if you can get the oil for the prices you quoted you should buy all you can get your hands on .
