To stud or not to stud that is the question
Got me a 0.020 marine gaskete yesterday and was wondering how much boost will it hold with the stock head bolts. I am not planning on anymore upgrades to this truck till I can afford a 3rd gen and this truck will be drag only. With the auto the most boost I saw was around 45 so with the new gaskette will I be safe? Don't really have the money for the studs now but if I need them I will put of fixing it till I do. The only thing I do with the truck is run at the local track maybe 3 times a year and pull a 12,500 5 ver about 6-8 times a year. Other than that I drive it about 50 miles a week.

I'd run it as is (stock) unless you have a problem and keep the gasket in reserve. Maybe retorque studs to be sure there even.
If your going to change the gasket...I would have the head decked.
Stockers are notorious for being less than level! They are fine for stock hp but.....
