Radio problems
I have an 06 ram it has about a hundred thousand miles. This started last week the stock radio just stopped working. The display didn't work and it played no sound. It was acting like it was off with the truck on and running. The time button would still work and I could still get all of my cds out. After about an hour it started working. This has happened about 4 times in the last 5-6 days. Any ideas?
Mine was pulling those shenanigans as well...and the engine was cranking slower...and slower...over the course of the last couple of weeks...then the other morning it wouldn't crank at all; I replaced the batteries and so far all is well. The PDC might not be letting the audio system work with a low voltage problem...perhaps we have someone on the forum that knows more about it?
That's Weird I just said to a friend this morning that my truck sounded like it was cranking slower and slower each morning. I never even thought to put the slow crank and radio together as batteries.
Try this:

Mine is dong the same. I get longer cranks sometimes but they are strong. I'm taking mine in tomorrow for this. pcm

i would recommend a pioneer Model: AVH-P3200BT. they run about $400-500 so its pretty reasonable for the price and it has all the things you want except the nav. which will add like another $250-300 My brother just put one in his car and its awesome.

2006 Ram 2500 radio works intermittently
Just to add my two cents for people who find this thread.
Radio worked intermittently, no rhyme or reason. If it came on it stayed on. Could work once a day or every time I started it. Could work all day. Sometimes worked on accessory, but when I started the truck it didn't work.
Replaced the batteries, which were original, and everything is fine now.
Pretty weird.
