Anyone have any ideas why power steering would work fine turning to the right but not work well to the left? The pump looks good, I changed out most of the fluid, the belt is good......
Thanks

Sounds like a bad steering gear to me. The valving in the gear may have gone bad. Don't bother with any of the parts store rebuilt gears, get a PSC gear. It costs about the same and it's five times the quality.
Sounds like an internal problem of the steering gear box. Probably best to just replace it with a reconditioned unit. What size tires do you have on it and what is the inflation. Are you turning the wheels on cement while parked? If you have oversized tires that are underinflated you might be overloading the steering gear.
My experience with this problem is that the pin inside that holds the power valve will get loosen up. When this happen you will have power in one direction but not in another. Usually the only answer is a complete replacement of the steering box.
I hate rebuilding those...
The rebuild kit is fairly cheap and the replacement of any steering box if fairly expensive!
