paintless dent repair?

Got the truck from the dealer, with cracked paint! Had a problem druin prep or something. got 2 dents in the hood ( i was ******) but, they dropped another 4 k off the price. And sence i planned on replacing the hood in a month anyway. Took it, but there is cracked paint. Something about paintless dent repair, They told me i still might notice the imperfections. but for 4k id live with it for a few months ya know? But now paints cracked and looks a lil like eh looks bad.

So is the crackig normal in paintless dent repair?

mine did, i had a dent fixed in the hood of newer camaro (big slope) that was deep enough to hold water. it looked good for a while, then when summer came & got REALLY hot, the paint cracked. the engine heat prolly got yours.

i've got a big dent in our other camaro now (only got 2 steel panels and guess where they got it?) that I will have fixed right before I sell for that reason.

Dent Wizard experience here will be a year in November. No cracks yet. I can't even tell you where the dent was now.

Had paintless dent repair on Durango on 2 golf ball sized dents. Never had cracking, but makes sense that it may depend on how deep/big the dent is that was fixed. I know there's a limit as to how big the dent can be for it to be fixed paintless, but not sure what that is. For the $4K you saved, you could have the whole truck repainted and still have money left over.
