Small dent removal

Last night I dinged my truck on one of the rear quarters. Looks like about the same as hail damage. Does anyone recommend any product for paintless dent removal. I was poking around the internet and found serveral products for this. I need some first hand experience.

thx

I seen an infomercial that had a little device that puts suction on the dent, and then you turn a little screw thingy, and it pops the dent right out. You could buy it right then and for the next 15 minutes for only $19.95, plus $4.95 shipping and handling.

Honestly, if it is where you can get to it with your hand, I have pushed some dents back out with my thumb, but I do not know how bad it is. If it is not like something with a point hit it, then I suspect you could try that, but if it is like something sharp hit it, the you might have to live with it, or get a body man to fix it.

Check and see if you have a PDR (paintless dent removal) shop in your area. My wife had a couple of door dings in her SUV and the local PDR guy fixed them for $35.00.

I purchased a "DING KING" from wal-mart for $18 (also available on info mertials)
Best $18 bucks I have ever spent! This thing actually does what it says it will. I have removed dents up to the size of a baseball and even pulled some small creases with patients. The only down side is that it doesnt come with much in way of supplies in the box, you can do several dents before you run out though. Other than that you spend another $18 and buy another one. I have also seen these at many different auto parts stores. If you really want to get into they actually have a school for such things and a place where you can buy all the pro tools. Or you can do like the last post seggested and call alocal dealership and see who they use for paintless dent removal and touchups. We have a guy here local that calls himsefl the dent Dr. and I have seen him do really good work and pull things that you would have never thought possible.
Try the Ding King you wont be disapointed!

Hey thanks,

It sure hurts to ding up the truck. I keep telling myself it is just a truck! We love our trucks though. I think I will try one of the cheap products.

thx

Check out some of the detailing places.
We have a number of "Dent Doctor" places in the Toronto area, and you would find them in any city.

A coworker had a couple of sizable dents in his Honda.
They get in behind the dent with a probe tool and heat the metal a bit from the outside and push the dent out....no sanding or painting.....a perfect job....could never tell there was a dent.

Sometimes they have to drill an inside access hole that they plug when finished.

Paid about 100 bucks Canuck....well worth it.

Not so loud... your truck may hear you!

Saying a CTD is just a truck is like saying the Superbowl is just a game.... or Michael Jordan was just a basketball player.... you MUST repent!
