Talking New Tranny!!

Hey All,

Well I ordered my new transmission!! Just thought I should post, I'm pretty excited. Its being built by a place out here called TPS Transmissions, he puts together all the best parts from all the different companies to build an awesome transmission. He also had a supply of billet output shafts built for the 47rh (thats pretty cool!) Its being installed on march 9th, I'm counting down the days!!

Is this a local company?I'm going to get an evaluation on my trans tomorow and I'm sure that there is going to be a suggestion that I rebuild it.What kind of pricing did you get and what parts are being used?

This guy had them custom made! Not cheap to buy, pretty much the same as an input shaft. Its being rebuilt with upgraded clutch packs, bearings, overdrive unit (so I can Tow in OD), TC, Custom valve body, and billet shafts. Like I said I'm pretty excited!!

pwirch, welcome to the "new tranny club". 88bird, its going to be a dtt, he seems to like them the best I didn't disagree, he said he'd put whatever I wanted in so i went with it. I've heard pretty good things about dtt, so I've got no issues with it.

Thanks. I'm jumping into this truck really fast. After tomorrow I will have dropped $10k into and I've only owned it for a few weeks.
