New cummins owner with some questions
I just picked up a 2001.5 4x4 quad cab 2500 6 speed. its a blast to drive and im really happy with the performance, mpg, and driveability. It has 163,000 on it.
mods are as follows-
-fass
-SB con ofe with 20 thousand
-aem workhorse intake
-mbrp 4" stainless exaust
-2.5 leveling kit
-315's on 17" 3rd gen rims
I have ordered the DSS steering stabilizer and headlight relay harness. I removed the silencer ring and it sounds much better. I am gonna take care of that puke bottle as well..What else should I look over or replace?
It had brakes and track bar done last summer, along with shocks. I will be building my own or going with the thuren bar when this one is shot.
The ball joints havent been replaced and have some movement so im planning on getting those done. What is a reasonable cost for a shop to do the work? From what I have read I might rather have a shop do it..lol
There is a clicking sound that comes from the driver side engine compartment. It seems to be intermitent. It sounds to me like a relay powering. But i dont think there would be a relay clicking that often.. So would it be a boost leak, exaust leak, cracked manifold?
Also on the VP44, it is original at 163,000 never been replaced. Fass was put on at about 60,000. Should i plan on doing one soon or what?
Im sure i will have more questions for the gurus on here..
Thanks, Scott
