Reccomend me a chip

Alright - this last trip down to CA to compete in Cal Rocs really made me want a chip.

2000 Dodge Ram 2500, 5.9L Cummins, Auto, 315,000 miles!

I've got an MBRP 4" Exhaust, a BD Diesel Billet Flex Plate, a BD Diesel torque converter.

Everything else is stock - including the air box.

I've already replaced the VP44, and have the factory in-tank lift pump.

I want to get something that limits me, so I wont tear my **** to pieces - I.E. no crazy Larry tune...

I'd like some gauges (EGT, Boost, Trans Temp, Lift Pump fuel pressure) to make sure I dont do anything dumb.

I'm looking at the Edge Attitude with Juice, and never turning it up past '3'.

thoughts?

I doubt I'd be able to keep myself from turning it up too much.

Should I save for a better valve body / clutch pack for the trans and a FASS lift pump? Should I save for a new common rail truck that makes more power?

Should I re-gear the diffs from 3.55 to 3.73?

Note: Used as a daily driver and for towing. Need to be able to maintain reliability of the vehicle.

get Edge juice attitude, gives you gauges and the ability to set warnings/defueling. most helpful when towing/ reliability
if you want to keep the power down DONT hook up the wire tap, this will keep you at the 60hp level, which is more than enough for towing

if tranny in good shape add a valve body, get a beetter lift pump (depending on your fuel pressure readings) and call it a day

FASS to supply the fuel would be nice addition.

I would do the fuel system first.

I prefer separate gauges, but that's just me. My FMS has boost and egt on the display, but it is mounted down by my left knee for protection from the sun and a little stealth. The A-pillar gauges are much easier to glance at once you know where the safe ranges are.
Do the fuel system, add a few gauges for boost/egt/trans and add an Edge EZ or get a Smarty for code clearing and better timing control (mpg). Why buy a large fueling box if you aren't gonna use the power it can make?

^lol. Go with a quadzilla adrenaline with pulse, but before you do that, ditch the intank pump if you want to keep your vp44 alive when the box is added. Fass, airdog, or raptor are the 3 reliable pumps..

Thanks guys.

The Edge with the monitor was just attractive because the neat package all in one. I dont really want to spend too much cash on this truck, I'm only hopeing to get a few more years out of it.

I'll look into the fuel system and the gauge sets.
