new clutch

well i got my new clutch today. 13" 400 hp 800 tq Valair. i heard our trucks have a 13" clutch and that i wont need to get a flywheel. Is that right or will i have to get one? I hope not so i can put this thing in. I fried my stock replacement racing a pansy in a ford bronco. apparently OEM replacements ( it wasnt even a year old) dont like having to spin both rear tires at 40 psi for a block even without a clutch drop . still won by the way

the getrag does have a 13" clutch, so you're good to go. i'd suggest having the flywheel machined and probably do a rear main seal while you're in there. just for added assurance.

It will bolt up just fine, but like Jim said you need to get the flywheel cleaned up.

oh of course. i had the flywheel machined when i put the OEM replacement in and it will be done again. at the same time i put the OEM one in i did replace the rear main because it use to leave CD sized oil puddles everywhere.

also does anyone know that the diameter of the flywheel center is on a 1st gen with a rag? It says the center on the friction plate is 7"
