i need some oppions

my buddy has a 01 dodge dakota, the motor crapped out so we got a good motor for a swap. same motor 3.9 v6. when swapping is it easyier to pull the motor and tranny and swap tranny to the other motor outside the truck or just undo the bell housing under the truck and leave the tranny in?

second question, as i know nothing about autos after taking the bell housing off will the tourqe converter be bolted to the flywheel as a clutch would?

thanks

Unbolt the converter, leave it in the transmission. Chances are if you don't remove the bolts you'll damage the front seal on the automatic transmission. Once the engine is out you can remove the torque converter?

Is the truck a 4wd truck or 2wd? I'm looking for a cheap smallish 2wd truck.
