how much timing can i run??
i know its a different thread but same type of question, i was wondering if i were to advance my timing to 25-30 degrees or maybe higher if it would help on the track/racing. will it make a little more hp? any thoughts on timing advancement for power?? thanks

I saw a guy on comp diesel with a dmax that said he has tunes up to 32* of timing. Different truck I know but wow that is a lot of timing.
I think your head is going to be the first limiting factor on your timing. Do you have rings and studs to hold the cylinder pressure?

no rings, just 12mm studs and a marine hg, i've run 26 degrees before, infact i drove my truck around for months with it that way, also dynoed it and ran it pretty dang hard quite a few times with out and problems, not knowing it was timed like that
i used the wrong timing chart when i timed it the first time
. but i was just curious on what more timing might achieve?? thanks
