missing and plenty of white smoke
My truck is a 03 and its missing and smokeing white. I was driving not pulling nothing just lost power and turbo bark i slowed down and pulled over. passing me up was a cloud of white smoke which you smell the richness. Pulled back home checked each injector i found 3 bad injectors by unplugging them. I sent them to be tested and scott from mass diesel said there were scored and bad not even good for a core. I ordered a brand new set of industrial injection injectors (85 hp). cranked it up and still have the same problem just at idle missing bad and white smoke. its not knocking like a valve seat drop or nothing like that. i have a crankshaft sensor odered be in tommorow but can that make it miss like that? The truck was not hot so i dont think i warp the head or damage the head gasket. Could it be getting water inside my water level looked to be fine. Help i miss driving my baby its been a month any ideas thanks in advance

I had rough idle and white smoke at idle and then it would clear up at throttle and run fine. It turned out to be 4 broken rings. Hope this isn't your problem but you can do a compression test by pulling the injectors. Do you have blowby or oil from breather tube? Start it and see how much case pressure you have by taking the oil cap off and just set it there, if it moves then it's not a good sign. If it hits the hood then even worse.

Well ill pretend like i didnt read your reply lol. Well the white smoke does not clear up at all it get worse as soon as you give it gas. I had to drive up on a trailer and by the time i got on there was white somke everywhere. ill change the crankshaft sensor today and do the blowby test like you said. thanks
