Lifts....
Lifts....
Okay, so I just put some new tires on my truck....285/75/17 Dick Cepeks...love em....hope to go bigger someday. Anyways, I am asking the guy at the Les Schwab about lifts and he tells me that they can't put a Skyjacker lift
on my Cummins because they have had issues with the springs sagging within in a year of installation. He said its a liability and they just don't do them anymore on the first gens. Maybe I was talkin' to the wrong guy. Not sure. Can anyone tell me what the deal is on this? I see tons of amazing looking trucks here and want to know what the best option is. The little research I have done has always brought me back to Skyjacker and the fact that their website is the one that says it is applicable for the diesels....other sites usually say in small print that they are for gas engines....is there a leveling kit option or something else? The front springs on my rig are haggard as well as the shocks. I would rather just go full suspension instaed of paying up to $500 to get my springs re-arced or somethin' that will get me by....any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks guys.

SJ springs suck. They do sag after a little while. For a little more $$$ you can get custom springs made that will not fatigue after a year of normal use and offer a better ride then any off the shelf kit. Or for under $300 bucks you can do the RCC lift. Do a search on here and you'll find it. I've mentioned it a few times. I'll be doing a write up on mine here probably next week. It's all built. I just need to get it painted and was waiting for a few parts to come in.
I looked for the RCC deal, am I lost? Can't find it. The only spring company here in Boise, has mixed reviews....where do you recommend going for the custom stuff? I wanna put at least 35's on my beast and have some beefy suspension to go along with it. I am a contractor so potential trailer hauling and equipment. Thanks for the advice.

One year 4 inch lift no sag till i Jump in granted i do expect sag i am close to 300 pounds, We have the battery on that side and driver weight too . UP here it would have cost me the same for two custom springs as it did for my whole lift
off the top of my head for starters... shock/coil spring towers, upper and lower control arm mounts, the front diff is on the driver side... someone else will probably have more to say that i can't think of at the moment.
