late 1st gen grille

I want to use the 1991-1993 grille instead of the older 80's grille. I know i will have to get a new core support. Since i am using a 1988 gasoline core support i know it wont work, but will any diesel core support work or does it have to be 91 and up? If it has to be a diesel support anybody have one to sell or trade? Could I use a 91 and up gasser support? thanks

what about the under grill body peice, my 82 and 91 are way different. so i would guess, that would be the only peice you might have to change.

The headlights are in the wrong place. You'll have to get a 91 & up support.

Move buckets

The buckets are completely different set up and location. i would have to do allot of fabing. it would be easier to get a 91 and up core support. Anyone got one?

it is easyer to find a core support then you would be set to intercool
later on. I just did a non intercooled to intercooled conversion and it was easyer then when i tried to mod everything on another rig. and it is a cleaner setup

old grill

i set mine up with the banks i/c and used the later grill, cut and welded the buckets higher, snuck some screws through the edge of the headlight bezel, to hold the side tight, now ive got the larger ps i/c to modify in, hoping to get the condenser out front of the i/c to compete with the so. cal. heat. theres a lot more room behind the later grill. good luck!

It doesn't need to be a diesel core support if you don't plan on intercooling. Even if you do intercool, if you don't mind doing some cutting it would be fine.
