Just raced a 350Z, Mustang GT and Acura TL Type S
Well my predictions are that my truck runs high 13s/ low 14s but more like 14 FLAT, heres why:
1st race: Raced one of my buddies 350Z 6spd w/ exhaust, intake, headers = 13.5 in 1/4 mile and he pulled 3 cars on me all the way to 80 where we shut off.
2nd race: Raced my other buddies 01 Acura TL Type S w/ exhaust, intake, headers, v-tec controller and some more bolt-ons= low 14s in 1/4 and I pulled 1 car on him the whole way till 90 and the pull started to get stronger but I ran out of road.
3rd race: 02 Mustang GT 5spd, intake, headers, x-pipe, exhaust, chip= high 13s in the 1/4 and he only pulled 1 car on me through 80 where we also shut off:
All races were obviously off a line with: O/D OFF, EDGE JUICE at LEVEL 5, 2WD launch and the only the only one I brake torqed was the Acura at 5lbs of boost which put me sideways for a few seconds and slight wheel spin and that is with my 35" tires and the current set-up on my sig.

Those little Z's are slick. I guess they can make real good power with a couple grand worth of mods and some good tuning. I saw a high hp Z (I beleive it was 700 something) on a supercharger. It was a sleeper, it looked like it rolled off the factory floor.
I was thinking the Stang would of given you the most trouble.

I know the old z06 with 405hp were slow!!! I raced 1 a few years back and it had a shot of 175hp. We raced down the 1/8 and he only got a time of 8.1. I hit 7.9 with street tires and a 306 with no power adders, its a shame. he spent 55k just for his car alone and i paid 3k for my car alone. But that doesnt include the mods!!!!!!!!!

Viking...just for reference with the Edge Hot and my Puck, I pulled on my buddy's 350Z in pretty decent form...he had absolutely NOTHING on me until I hit 100mph and ran out of speed, THEN he finally started gaining on me. As for a Mustang GT, I pulled on one of those on the highway as well...from 70-100, it wasn't even a competition. I don't know about TL Type S, but RSX Type S don't have a chance. Now I DID race one of my buddies in his supercharged Hyundai Tiburon...THAT was a close one...we were pretty much dead even. Until I again hit that governer
Like folks are saying...get some pressure and you'd be surprised how much they help.

The only STOCK mustang in the last 20 years capable of running 13s is a very recent supercharged cobra. Sorry man, I don't buy an stock '88 running faster than high 14s with a perfect launch, great driver, perfect weather, and low elevation. I've been around them too much and done too much illegal street racing. Most 88s would run 15-15.2 I had a 90 that I know wasn't below 14.5. Of the three cars he raced, the Z is by far the fastest out of the dealer lot.

I wasn't going to post this, but, since this thread has already kind of wandered....
