Without the lift and tire you could easily outrun all 3. We had a 07 running consistent 8.40s 1/8 mile passes an he recenly put a lift an 35s on went back to track and 9.20s was best he could get.

Well, I raced a BMW M6 (badges, quad exhaust pipes) a few days ago on the highway. I had passed him aggressively to try and egg him on, and he got behind me. After we both passed a car to the right, he jumped into the right lane 2 or so cars behind and starting coming up fast, I hit the O/D button off and floored it, we went from about 70-105 or so. I know he got a jump on me and he barely got in front of me during the race, then the fool cut me off because of another car in the right lane.

He was looking dead at me the whole time, then read the Cummins turbo diesel badge on the fender.

This was our 03, Beta smarty was on 5, EZ on 1, so who knows how it would have gone on full tilt. Obviously I can't say if he was floored or not, but the truck pulls extremely hard on the highway, who knows.

I hear what you're saying about the 03/04 being the strongest bottom end of the 'Stangs though. That's probably only because so many of the 5.0's like to split in half at 500hp.

I still can't associate anything Ford has ever made with being "bullet proof" though!
do some research, Supra has had the strongest bottom end since they came out in 93 with about 900hp max on stock internals and then the 03 Cobra came out with something like 1200hp max on stock internals. Why do you think so many supra's have crazy HP and as well as cobras. Not everyone had money to build the motors, but instead b/c there are easily modded and can handle the power.

forgot to say my truck was an 04.5 2500 QC SB 4x4 No muffler/cat, intake baffles removed, stock 48RE, Juice/Attitude.
I dont know man, I keep racing these 14 FLAT cars and am pretty much neck to neck with. My truck just might be a freak and im also NOT 5000ft above sea level

Keep in mind that racing to 80mph is only about 1/8 mile. A car equally as fast as your truck is going to be gaining on you from the 1/8 to the 1/4.

At 14 flat you would trap in the mid 90's. My 1/8 MPH is 78 and my truck traps a little slow at 96mph.

Get it to a track dude!

we all know the tundra is the best truck out there hehehehe i have to agree with jrussell the 1/8 and quarter are two diffrent monsters the only real way to know is to get to the track and have some fun and hey you can even make some money before hand by making some bets with the rice boys who show up i know im going to make some cash when i tow the chevelle into sacramento i will tell them dont even bother with the car i take you in the truck towing it that gets them all fired up and ready to lose some money

Which is why i gave you some time and said high 14. being 5000ft above sea level would have at MOST a 3 tenth difference in my time. This is on stock tires as well. you are lifted on big wheels and big tires.

Those guys either cant drive, or those are not 14 flat cars. Take it to the track because i have over 20 runs showing what the juice/attitude does and nobody with the juice/attitude standard (NOT HOT) has ever seen a 14 flat on stock everything with a lift, big wheels, and big tires.

The only STOCK mustang in the last 20 years capable of running 13s is a very recent supercharged cobra. Sorry man, I don't buy an stock '88 running faster than high 14s with a perfect launch, great driver, perfect weather, and low elevation. I've been around them too much and done too much illegal street racing. Most 88s would run 15-15.2 I had a 90 that I know wasn't below 14.5. Of the three cars he raced, the Z is by far the fastest out of the dealer lot.
I have a 2002 GT 5spd with exhaust but will not take it to the track for fear of getting whiped. I have seen very good drivers from the mustang clubs only hit low 15's with tuning, ehxuat, intake, pulleys etc...
I also had a friend with a 04 350Z with intake and exhaust and ran him in my truck with just a programer, i dont know if he was a good driver but i beat him and i only ran a 14.6 with that setup.

Ive seen far to many stangs at the track to know thier all just bad drivers with those similiar setups. I normally race at high elevation but have also ran in kentucky, i ran 2 1/10ths slowever their then i do at Bandimere. Your also talking to someone that has taken more then 100 1/4 mile runs (easily) in my truck, I'm not some newbie thats never seen the 1320.

I don't know if your tried but launch in 4wd. they'd be trying to catch you the whole time if you did that. I have beat a 06 CR 4wd with a bullydog crazylarry by just a couple of feet and we both launched in 4wd. One heack of a race. but racing cars doens't interest me anymore they are too easy to beat. I just like racing other diesel freaks who have an antsy foot like me. hahaha

Quick Reply: Just raced a 350Z, Mustang GT and Acura TL Type S
