injector install experts????
Hi just installed 275s and wondering are the injectors suppose to slam in once they get to the o ring ?no amount of pushin with my thumb could get them down enough to get the keeper on so I used the handle of a hammer to apply a little more pressure on them and all of a sudden they would slam in hard the last cm or so. Is this normal???I,m sure I can hear the truck lope some times when pullin away or am I parionid. The keepers seemed to slide in easyer than they were to slide out , scared I may of scewed somethin up. Thanks

Did you lube the "O" rings? I use silicone grease, Dow Corning 111. They slip right in with only a little resistance. When they push hard, you are stressing the O rings and can chaff, cut or roll them and have a leaker later on.

Yes I lubed o ring and pulled out tubes far enough , trust me I,m 6'4 260 and had both thumbs on them givin them hell and wouldn't go in. put the handle of the hammer in them to gently apply more pressure ans they would snap in, just wonderin if that was normal but I guess not. The old ones came out with the bolt in them and just pulling up on them by hand.Weird eh.

I had to give mine a pretty good push when I installed them. My mileage increased after I installed them. I've been pretty hard on this tank (80-90mph on a 200 mile round trip with lots of racing and the comp on 5X5) and I'm sitting at 285 miles on half a tank. Before I would be lucky to get 220 driving like this.
