I bought a Smarty S-06 PoD a couple weeks ago and noticed they have an update for the REVO software. I've tried for almost 3 days to get the update to work and haven't had any luck. (I haven't had any problems with the Smarty on my truck)
I've followed the directions on the Mads website with 0 luck. I found a smarty for dummies link on another website,but its not for windows Vista. Tried it anyway, 0 luck. I got the 7zip program to work and was able to open the downloader program. When I plug in the Smarty to my PC, (I think) it found the drivers automatically,a window opens and said Your Device is ready to use.Below in the box it said The software for this device is ready to use and tells me what port is ready and USB Serial Converter is ready to use.

The manual said to not let the PC find the drivers automatically. (which may be my problem,but I don't know how to uninstall it to start over)

Can anybody help me out? Perhaps some phone tech on my dime? I'll call you if your comfortable with that. We can set up a time that works for both of us. Or does somebody know what I'm experiencing and can help out? PM me if the phone tech will work.

Retired, if you click on my user name, and look at other post's by jjpage, you should be able to find one about updating Smarty's. About a month ago I posted with a link to a video that Bob put on the forum. It is a step by step video, should help.

It is under "VIDEO, how to update Smarty".
