What the heck (starter trouble)
So three weeks ago I get in truck and turn key nothing. I think bad batt. Replace two batteries and still nada. Every thing comes on but will not turn over not even click. Go to oreilys buy a starter (reman) come home put it on fires right up. Been driving truck every day since no problems. Today comming home from work I stop in for a beer and when its time to leave nada all electrical works no start. The starter never drags or nothing truck always starts within three turnovers. Not abused. What could be wrong. This is in the 97 in my signature

Hi,
I think you should check the fuses or relays under the hood?
Just a possibility.
Get a multimeter and trace from your ignition switch. Electrical is hard sometimes.. Good luck

You have 12 volts at the starter when you turn the key? If so and starter in good/new I would verify the engine is not seized via the alternator going south.
Remove the serp belt and bar the engine over to verify it can turn over.
Next?

Would the engine seize just sitting good oil not running hot pulled up stoped turned off all was well. I tried to jump the wires just hear slight wine from starter. I am pretty sure that's it

The starters usually start to hang up or not start when the contacts die. Easy repair and typically the only thing guys replace when they "rebuild" them.
Also check all fuseable links from the battery, they might be broken and not look like it.

Autoparts cheap Chinese starters are junk that rarely last 10k miles.
If it has a lifetime warranty get used to replacing it every couple of months till you give up and buy an OEM.

Electricity and a no start situation. The small solenoid wire on the starter should produce 12v to the solenoid when you turn the key. Check here first. None of the rest of the starter will work without 12v to the small brown wire on the stud on the starter. If no voltage here no start. Could be a starter or whatever, but replacing the starter may not be the problem. Just my two cents, and where I would start.
